Utilitarian Ethics

This course introduces students to utilitarianism, its historical development, key figures, and its relationship with Christian ethics. Students will explore the origins of utilitarianism, focusing on influential thinkers like Jeremy Bentham and John Stuart Mill. They will also analyzs how utilitarian principles align or conflict with Christian ethical teachings. Through interactive discussions and real-life applications, students will learn to critically evaluate moral decisions using both utilitarian and Christian perspectives.
